Experience Level:
16+ Years experience on aero engine (core engine and Externals) design & analysis
10+ years of working experience in aviation Aero engines
Stress analysis expectations:
1. Expert in mechanical/structural FEM analysis using Ansys software on engine component and/or assembly level
2. Lead technical reviews (stress analysis STAR/Tollgate Reviews)
3. Assure proper documentation of technical data generated to substantiate analyzed components, assemblies and/or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures
4. Monitor and effectively communicate projects status, issues and significant developments
Required software:
• Ansys Mechanical (classic)
• Unigraphics (NX)
• Hypermesh
• Internal tools like Siesta: TPMAP, XLIFE, MXLIFE, PROPLIFE
• Job description:
The work will mostly be related to running already existing 2D/3D structural component/assembly models using Ansys Classic. Where applicable existing FE models to be updated/modified to implement changes in order to match desired geometry (new models created if necessary). Part of the responsibility will be to work to update the analysis with new boundary conditions (mission temperatures, pressures, displacement and external loads). This assignment requires work in accordance with available SAP and BPs and technical review (STAR process) is required. Good communication and cooperation skills required.
