Company: MarshDescription:We are seeking a talented individual to join our AI CoE team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.Senior Director - Data ScienceWe will count on you to:

• Develop and execute the strategy for the AI Center of Excellence.
• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, data engineers, and technology colleagues.
• Lead the design, development, deployment, and measurement of AI/ML models that provide new, market-leading analytics for our clients to understand & address risks and unlock insights, and for our colleagues to improve operational efficiency.
• Promote existing suite of AI/ML solutions in a coherent and compelling manner to help colleagues benefit from them, thereby avoiding duplication of efforts.
• Create business cases that will enable project prioritization and investment decisions.
• Ensure projects are resourced appropriately and delivered on time.
• Stay current with the latest AI technologies and industry trends, encouraging their use in the wider team as relevant.
• Establish and maintain guidelines for risk mitigation and governance of AI models.
• Define and evangelize best practices for model development and coding standards; enable standardization where necessary.

What you need to have:

• A bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in software engineering or AI/ML engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Ability to influence others within and outside of the job function.
• Ability to develop strong internal / external client-oriented solutions.
• Knowledge of the Indian tech ecosystem and talent landscape.
• Experience with full stack AI/ML model development and deployment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and tools such as Git/Bitbucket, Notebooks, and Amazon SageMaker.

• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders, internally and to clients.
• A history of successful collaboration with technical stakeholders (Data Scientists, Actuaries, and software engineers) and non-technical stakeholders (client executives, brokers, risk managers).
• Demonstrated success in building high-performing teams.
• Hands-on experience with a deep neural network architecture (CNN, RNN, Deep Reinforcement Learning, GAN etc.) and experience with deep learning frameworks such TensorFlow or Pytorch.
• Publications or speaking engagements related to AI in insurance or risk management.
