In this role, you will be able to work on a portfolio of Data Science and AI models, projects, and products that seek to yield a significant business benefit, build ourindustrious advantage, and help differentiate in the market through the execution of innovation. DISCOVER your opportunity What will your essential responsibilities include Build and deliver meaningful Data Science and AI models, products, and solutions enabling functions across the insurance value chain such as Underwriting, Pricing, Claims, Distribution, Operations, etc. Develop, grow, and mentor junior data scientists in delivering meaningful business value taking advantage of the latest developments in the fields of Data Science and AI. Build, validate, test, and deploy data science and ML models to address specific business problems with appropriate success criteria defined, tracked, and reported. Manage the end-end lifecycle of data science and AI models working in partnership with the Data Science platform, Global Technology, and other relevant teams. Build Data Science, AI, and ML capability to make sureappropriate reuse of relevant assets across the business and potentially with the wider Group, Partner with key areas within Global Technology, Pricing & Underwriting, Transformation & Change Delivery, Group, and other teams for Projects and Business as Usual. Oversee and manages the function\'s resource demandand capacity on in-flight projects as well as BAU work. Instill a customer-first attitude on the team, prioritizing service for our business stakeholders above all else. SHARE your talent We\'re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in end-to-end model development, validation and model implementation for both GLM models and machine learning models.Modeling experience in commercial insurance is a plus. Significant programming experience in both SQL and Python. Experience with R, H2O, Spark, Microsoft Azure Ecosystem, Databricks is a plus. Text Analytics, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning experience is preferred. Data scientist with good business acumen and commercial awareness. Ability to communicate well with leadership team, peers, teams across the globe. Brings in a collaborative spirit, can-do attitude and a Customer First mindset. Requires a combination of solid execution, strategic thinking and ability to \'connect the dots\' Expected to recommend innovation and improvement to policies, procedures, deploying resources and performing core activities. A minimum of a bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in a relevant discipline. Desired Skills and Abilities: Experience in a Data Science, AI or related roles (Actuarial, Statistics, Analytics, Engineering) Applies in-depth knowledge of business and specialized areas to creatively and strategically solve business problems and understand integration challenges and long-term impact. Passion for digital, data and AI and experience working within a digital and data driven organization.
