•In this role, the Snowflake DBA is responsible for providing technical direction and lead a group of one or more DBAs to address a goal.•

• •Extensive experience as a Snowflake Database Administrator (DBA), focused on managing and optimizing Snowflake data platforms.•
• •In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, features, and best practices for data warehousing.•
• •Proficient in configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Snowflake databases and data pipelines.•
• •Expertise in implementing robust security measures within Snowflake, including user management, role-based access control (RBAC), and data encryption.•
• •Strong understanding of data governance and compliance requirements in relation to Snowflake, ensuring adherence to regulations and industry standards.•
• •Proven ability to monitor and optimize Snowflake performance, including query tuning, resource management, monitoring and scalability.•
• •Should have knowledge on data replication setup with disaster recovery and high availability strategies for Snowflake deployments, ensuring data availability and business continuity.•
• •Experience in implementing and maintaining data privacy measures within Snowflake, ensuring the protection of sensitive information.•
• •Utilize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) to automate Snowflake database deployments and configuration.•
• •Excellent communication skills with Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify and resolve database-related challenges.•
• •SnowPro core certification is must•
• •Good to have Snowflake SnowPro Advanced Administrator Certification.•
• •Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Snowflake DBA and security practices, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills in the field.•
•Roles and Responsibilities:•

• •Manage and administer Snowflake databases, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.•
• •Design and implement secure data access controls, user management, and role-based access control (RBAC) in Snowflake.•
• •Configure and optimize Snowflake databases for high performance and scalability.•
• •Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or issues.•
• •Implement backup and recovery and failover strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.•
• •Implement and enforce data governance policies and compliance measures within Snowflake.•
• •Collaborate with teams to design and implement secure data ingestion and transformation pipelines in Snowflake.•
• •Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments for Snowflake databases.•
• •Provide technical guidance and support to development teams to ensure efficient and secure use of Snowflake.•
• •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Snowflake databases.•
• •Monitor and enforce data privacy regulations and policies within Snowflake, ensuring compliance with data protection laws.•
• •Participate in incident response and security breach investigations, working closely with relevant teams and stakeholders.•
• •Document and maintain database configurations, security policies, and operational procedures.•
• •Stay informed about Snowflake updates and new features, evaluating their impact and potential benefits for the organization.•
• •Collaborate with cloud service providers (such as AWS or Azure) to optimize Snowflake database integration and security.•
• •Provide guidance and support for SQL query optimization and performance tuning in Snowflake.•
• •Develop scripts and workflows using scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) to automate database provisioning/deployments, configuration, and maintenance tasks.•
• •Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and other database-related issues.•
• •Continuously improve automation processes and frameworks, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.•
• •Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices related to automation and leverage new tools and technologies to enhance Snowflake database administration and security automation.•
• •Train and mentor team members on automation practices and tools to promote a culture of automation within the organization.•
• •Utilize repository tools like GitHub, Gitlab, or Azure Repo for version control and collaboration on code and configurations.•
•Qualifications we seek in you!•

•Minimum qualifications •B.E./ Masters in Computer Science, Information technology, or Computer engineering or any equivalent degree with IT experience and relevant 2+ years of working experience as Snowflake Sr. DBA.•
