As part of data engineering practice, he/she will have following responsibilities to work on Alation Data Governance.Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7 Work with team on client engagements that could be delivered from the offices.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to think through and assess risks independently and effectively communicate issues.
\xc2\xb7 Strong verbal and written communication skills.
\xc2\xb7 Able to effectively participate in walkthrough meetings with other members of the team.
\xc2\xb7 Able to effectively participate in meetings with business and application team to understand data models, policies applicable on the data source, PII identification
\xc2\xb7 Prepare and maintain required documentation for reference purposes.
\xc2\xb7 Prioritize, plan, and handle multiple tasks effectively.
\xc2\xb7 Ensure to complete the assigned development tasks within deadlines.
\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate appetite for learning.Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications:
\xc2\xb7 B.E./Master\xe2\x80\x99s in Computer Science, Information systems, or Computer engineering, Systems Engineering
\xc2\xb7 Strong experience of working in Alation Data Governance tool, building data catalog, data lineage, developing workflows.
\xc2\xb7 Strong experience of working in a data governance, data management, or data quality program.
\xc2\xb7 Experience of working with IBM Information Governance Catalog (IGC) and IBM Information Analyzer (IA).
\xc2\xb7 Solid experience in SQL Querying and understanding of data models.
\xc2\xb7 Good to have \xe2\x80\x93 experience of working on usage of Alation API\xe2\x80\x99s and Python scripting development.
\xc2\xb7 Good to have \xe2\x80\x93 data warehouse implementation experience.
\xc2\xb7 Good to have \xe2\x80\x93 experience of working with other tools like Cognos, Tableau, Snowflake, etc.
\xc2\xb7 Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately across teams.Preferred Qualifications:
\xc2\xb7 Strong experience in working with Alation Data Governance tool including full data lineage, custom data lineage, source to target mappings, business rules and definitions.
\xc2\xb7 Understands documentation of data mapping and translation rules.
\xc2\xb7 Experience in Alation Integrations with 3rd party tools like Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, etc.
\xc2\xb7 Experience in developing/customizing and deploying Alation workflows, usage of Alation API\xe2\x80\x99s, working with UNIX shell commands.
\xc2\xb7 Should possess good understanding of Data Governance processes.
\xc2\xb7 Fair understanding of PII/PHI data identification, privacy laws like CCPA, CPRA, etc.
\xc2\xb7 Fair understanding of Insurance Domain.
