  • Incorporate Industry Best Practices in Component Engineering Processes to elevate the performance of the team.
  • Review/redefine the KPIxe2x80x99s, monitor the progress and report the same to management.
  • Support component engineering team in creating efficient processes for transfer of data to new ERP System from the current system.
  • Position is WFO or Hybrid. Position would be located in Chandigarh/Pine
  • Ability to travel domestically and overseas up to 10% of the yearxe2x80x99 (if applicable)
Duties & ResponsibilitiesESSENTIALxc2xb7 Research, co-ordinate and support engineering staff in selection and qualification of sourced and bought out components, assemblies and related hardware.xc2xb7 Create/Update database for COTS/Material, maintain effective COTS database to match specifications, including attribute definition, component classification, vendor definition.xc2xb7 Refine and update COTS database for better/updated definition.xc2xb7 Interpret & use industry codes, company SOPxe2x80x99s & standards relevant to process being designed.xc2xb7 Perform duplicity check for all new COTS requests.xc2xb7 Handle the COTS/Material changes and updates in PLM/PDM systems as per Business Unit specific processes.xc2xb7 Understand and comply to established CE/SCM processes.xc2xb7 Ascertain deliveries with required quality, within schedule.xc2xb7 Resolve technical queries raised by customers or field technician to select/source RIGHT PRODUCT.xc2xb7 Review work specifications/ECO etc. created by other engineers.xc2xb7 Establish work breakdown, estimate time or execution and schedule the activities.xc2xb7 Communicate regular progress updates to customer.xc2xb7 Monitor & record performance/health parameters related to project assigned, take corrective actions in case of any anomaly observed, define/implement preventive action plan.xc2xb7 Prepare best practices/SOP documents.xc2xb7 Contribute to improving existing CE processes.xc2xb7 Demonstrates a high level of initiative to accomplish individual objectives assigned as well as team goals.xc2xb7 Work towards individual goals aligned with department and organizational objectives.xc2xb7 Comply to organizational HR policies and procedures.xc2xb7 Understand and adhere to organizational HSE policies and practices.NON-ESSENTIALxc2xb7 Classify components/products to meet global trade compliance as per HTS/HS directive.xc2xb7 Classify components/products as per UNSPSC Standards.xc2xb7 Analyze COTS data as per SCM prospective.xc2xb7 Be open to travel as per business needs.xc2xb7 Well aware of Procurement, Vendor Selection and Negotiation.xc2xb7 Well versed with Purchasing, Inventory and other SCM functions.xc2xb7 Well versed with Lean and Six Sigma Technologies.Supervisory Responsibilitiesxc2xb7 This position have direct supervisory responsibilities.Reporting Relationshipxc2xb7 Reporting to Manager EngineeringGeneral ManagerEngineering ServicesEngagement Head - EngineeringPrincipal xe2x80x93 Component EngineeringQualificationsREQUIREDxc2xb7 Required Bachelor of Engineering/Master of Engineering with Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic or another relevant educational field.xc2xb7 Four or more than 6 years of experience in the field of Component Engineering.xc2xb7 Good understanding of Mechanical COTS partsxc2xb7 Intermediate to Expert level user of SolidWorks and PLM/PDM/PSFT Softwarexc2xb7 Awareness of Mechanical/Electrical industry codes/standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM, AISC, IEC tc.)DESIREDxc2xb7 Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsxc2xb7 Basic knowledge of PLM / PDMKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:xc2xb7 Self-motivation, confidence and passionxc2xb7 Teamwork & Interpersonal skillsxc2xb7 Disciplined documentation and record keeping skills.xc2xb7 Flexibility and adaptability under adverse conditionsxc2xb7 Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness.xc2xb7 Ensure regular and consistent communication within the area of responsibility.xc2xb7 Innovation mindset and Creative intelligenceAdditional InformationThis position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.xc2xb7 Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at nightxc2xb7 Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplacexc2xb7 Work surface is stable (flat)Closing StatementIn addition, we make a priority of providing learning and development opportunities to enable employees to achieve their potential and take charge of their future.
