The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills: Responsibilities Lead and contribute to the design and development of cloud-based data platform. Provide architectural technology solutions, analytics, data architectures, data warehouse, data lake and data hub. Design and develop high volume data ingestion components and ETL solutions to collect data from various internal and external sources Recommend data governance processes, security standards, and models that will provide architectural guidelines to support the development initiatives Ensures data quality and controls are in place to support of various data ingestion inflows and outflows processes Manage and use tools in the cloud data warehouse development and deployment such as ETL tools, data quality and cleansing tools, query/reporting tools, OLAP, data mining, etc. Ability to optimize cloud-based data platform. Drive decision-making processes to align with business priorities and objectives related to key architecture solutions Research emerging technology trends, new models, vendor solutions and market opportunities to identify potential industry disruptors that could help the organization dominate their position in the market Key Competencies / Skills / Qualifications Significant experience with Data Warehouse technologies and complex data architecture and models, with increasing exposure to Cloud based data DWH implementation Working knowledge of designing architectures for large volume real time data streams and component services Knowledge of and experience with the following: Database Technologies: Teradata, Netezza, Redshift, snowflake, Databricks Good implementation experience on any one cloud service provider ( AWS, Azure and GCP) ETL - Informatica, Mattilion or any other ETL tool. Data Visualization - Power BI, Qlik View and Tableau Programming Skills -Python Appreciation for Data Visualization and how the backend Data Warehouse can help render the required visualization in the best possible way Experience with scaling and improving a variety of vendor and open-source technologies Experienced in Agile, Lean, Continuous Delivery Good communications skills with the ability to interact with development and infrastructure teams, business and vendors including the training and mentoring of team members. A proven track record for the successful delivery of cloud data warehouse solutions and related components Must be a tenacious problem solver able to handle work complexity, delivery deadlines, client demands and make routine decisions as well Good understanding of fault-tolerant architectures and high availability systems Ability to address non-functional requirements such as Reliability, Performance and Scalability
