Key Responsibilities:
• Lesson Planning and Delivery:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for students across various subjects (e.g., English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Art, and Physical Education).
• Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of individual students, including those with special educational needs or learning difficulties.
• Classroom Management:
• Establish clear rules and expectations for behavior in the classroom.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment where students can thrive.
• Manage classroom activities, routines, and transitions efficiently.
• Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
• Regularly assess students' academic progress using tests, quizzes, assignments, and observations.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback on students' work and performance.
• Keep detailed records of students' progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to support learning.
• Support and Development:
• Identify and address the individual learning needs of students, offering additional support when necessary.
• Work with students on developing their social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
• Provide guidance on personal development, including confidence-building, teamwork, and conflict resolution.
• Collaboration with Colleagues:
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, teaching assistants, and school leadership to ensure effective teaching and learning.
• Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Contribute to school-wide events, extracurricular activities, and initiatives.
• Parent and Guardian Communication:
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about students' progress, achievements, and any concerns.
• Attend parent-teacher meetings and provide clear updates on student performance.
• Offer advice and support to parents on how they can assist their child's learning at home.
• Curriculum Development:
• Work with other staff to develop and review curriculum content.
• Stay up-to-date with curriculum changes, educational standards, and teaching methodologies.
• Participate in curriculum-related training and professional development.
• Safeguarding and Welfare:
• Maintain a high level of awareness of safeguarding policies and child protection procedures.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all students, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
• Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and in line with school procedures.
