Job Description

We are seeking a creative and dedicated Primary English Teacher for Grades 1 to 5 under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should have a passion for language education and the ability to nurture strong reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills among young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in alignment with the CBSE syllabus for primary grades. Teach foundational skills including phonics, vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, reading comprehension, creative writing, and spoken English. Use stories, poems, role-plays, and activities to enhance language learning in a fun and effective way. Promote a love for reading and help students develop good communication habits. Assess student progress through written work, oral activities, and reading fluency, and provide meaningful feedback. Create a warm and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel confident to express themselves. Encourage participation in language-based activities such as storytelling, recitation, spelling bees, and reading clubs. Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to the school's academic and co-curricular programs.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in English / Elementary Education (B.Ed preferred).

Experience:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience teaching English at the primary level in a CBSE or equivalent school.

Skills:

Excellent command of spoken and written English. Ability to teach language concepts in an engaging and age-appropriate manner. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Passion for early literacy and language development.

Additional Requirements:

Willingness to reside on campus and actively participate in school life and extracurricular activities. Readiness to conduct remedial or enrichment sessions as needed. Adaptability to the environment of a residential school and commitment to student development.
