Job Description

The Primary Mother Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment for young children in the early stages of their education (usually ages 3-8). This teacher plays a significant role in the development of students, both academically and emotionally, fostering a love of learning and helping to shape the children's social and cognitive growth. The role combines educational instruction with compassionate caregiving, ensuring each child's individual needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:



Classroom Management:



1. Create a warm, welcoming, and positive classroom atmosphere.

2. Manage a classroom of young students with kindness, patience, and discipline.

3. Ensure the physical environment is conducive to learning and exploration

Instruction:



1. Design and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities in line with the curriculum.

2. Provide individualized learning opportunities to meet the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of each child.

3. Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.

Emotional and Social Development:



1. Promote emotional and social development by encouraging positive behaviors, communication, and cooperation.

2. Assist children in developing self-confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills.

3. Foster a sense of belonging and inclusivity in the classroom.

Parental Engagement:



1. Maintain regular communication with parents or caregivers about the child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns.

2. Hold parent-teacher conferences and contribute to school events as needed.

3. Provide resources and guidance to parents on supporting their child's learning and emotional development at home.

Assessment and Evaluation:



1. Observe and assess the students' academic progress, social behavior, and emotional growth.

2. Provide regular feedback on student development and progress through reports or meetings.

3. Adjust teaching strategies based on assessment results to ensure continuous improvement.

Curriculum Development:



1. Develop, modify, and implement the school's curriculum to ensure it is engaging, inclusive, and developmental.

2. Plan and conduct age-appropriate projects, experiments, and outdoor activities to stimulate creativity and critical thinking.

Health, Safety, and Welfare:



1. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during school hours.

2. Administer first aid when needed and ensure that health and safety protocols are followed.

3. Supervise children during playtime, meals, and transitions.

Professional Development:



1. Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and participate in workshops or training programs.

2. Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
