Job Title: PRT (Primary School) CoordinatorLocation: BDW International School, Shillong MeghalayaJob Summary: The Primary School Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the academic leadership team in the effective coordination and management of the primary school section. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations, curriculum implementation, teacher coordination, and ensuring a positive and enriching learning environment for primary school students.Key Responsibilities:Curriculum Planning and Implementation:

  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure the effective implementation of the CBSE curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess the quality of teaching and learning processes in the primary school.
  • Support teachers in developing lesson plans, teaching aids, and innovative teaching methodologies.
Teacher Coordination:
  • Conduct regular meetings with primary school teachers to discuss curriculum updates, teaching strategies, and student progress.
  • Provide mentoring and professional development opportunities for teachers.
  • Coordinate substitute teachers and manage teacher schedules.
Student Progress and Well-being:
  • Monitor student academic progress, attendance, and behaviour.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and the counselling team to address the academic and emotional needs of students.
  • Implement strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Parental Communication:
  • Act as a liaison between the school and parents of primary school students.
  • Organize and conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
  • Communicate school policies, events, and updates to parents.
Event Planning:
  • Plan and coordinate academic and co-curricular events for the primary school section.
  • Collaborate with other coordinators and school leadership to organize school-wide events.
Resource Management:
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively, including classrooms, materials, and equipment for the primary school section.
  • Oversee the maintenance of a conducive learning environment.
Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Coordinate and supervise the conduct of examinations and assessments.
  • Analyse assessment data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Education or a relevant field. Master\'s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of teaching experience in primary education.
  • Previous experience in a coordination or leadership role is desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and assessment practices.
