Key Responsibilities:
• Curriculum Implementation and Planning :
• Oversee the planning and execution of the primary school curriculum (STD1 & STD 2), ensuring it aligns with the CBSE guidelines and the educational goals of the school.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan and implement age-appropriate and engaging lessons that cater to the developmental needs of primary school students.
• Ensure the curriculum is balanced, integrating subjects such as language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and creative arts.
• Regularly review and update the curriculum to ensure its relevance and effectiveness, integrating new teaching methodologies and resources as needed.
• Teaching and Learning Support :
• Provide support and guidance to teachers to enhance teaching strategies, classroom management, and student engagement.
• Conduct regular classroom observations to assess teaching quality, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
• Organize and lead staff meetings to discuss student progress, teaching strategies, and any challenges faced in the classroom.
• Foster a collaborative environment where teachers share best practices and work together to meet student needs.
• Student Development and Welfare :
• Promote holistic development by ensuring that both academic and co-curricular activities are integrated into the students' daily routine.
• Monitor students' academic progress, providing support for students who may need additional help or differentiation in instruction.
• Ensure the social-emotional well-being of students by promoting positive behavior, conflict resolution, and empathy in the classroom.
• Implement initiatives to promote life skills, creativity, critical thinking, and leadership qualities among students.
• Assessment and Evaluation :
• Oversee the planning and implementation of both formative and summative assessments in accordance with CBSE guidelines.
• Analyze student performance data and use this information to identify areas of improvement, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Ensure timely communication of student performance to parents through regular progress reports, parent-teacher meetings, and feedback sessions.
• Support teachers in using a variety of assessment tools, such as quizzes, projects, presentations, and practical assessments, to gauge student understanding.
• Parental Engagement and Communication :
• Maintain regular communication with parents regarding their child's academic and emotional progress.
• Organize parent-teacher meetings and school events to strengthen the partnership between the school and parents.
• Provide parents with practical strategies to support their child's learning at home, including advice on time management, study habits, and general well-being.
• Act as a point of contact for parents to address any concerns, suggestions, or queries related to the primary section.
• Staff Development and Leadership :
• Lead, mentor, and support primary school teachers in their professional development, including offering guidance on teaching methodologies, classroom management, and behavior strategies.
• Organize regular training workshops, seminars, or in-house professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
• Foster a positive, supportive, and collaborative team environment, encouraging continuous growth and improvement among staff members.
• Provide leadership in fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, and student-centered learning within the primary section.
• School Events and Activities :
• Plan, organize, and oversee school-wide events, festivals, and extracurricular activities such as annual days, sports meets, field trips, and inter-house competitions.
• Ensure that events are aligned with the educational goals of the school and are inclusive of all students.
• Promote student participation in a variety of activities that contribute to their all-around development, such as sports, music, drama, and art.
• Administrative Responsibilities :
• Oversee the daily operations of the primary school section, ensuring that all classrooms are properly equipped and organized.
• Assist in the preparation of the timetable and schedule for primary school classes.
• Maintain records related to student attendance, performance, and any behavioral issues, ensuring that all data is accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate with the school management on resource requirements, staffing, and any issues requiring attention.
• Child Protection and Safety :
• Ensure that the primary section adheres to child protection policies and promotes a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment.
• Promote the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of students, addressing any issues related to bullying, discrimination, or harassment.
• Implement safe practices within the classroom and encourage students to respect school rules, personal boundaries, and others' well-being.
• Promote School Vision and Values :
• Actively contribute to the vision, mission, and values of the school, ensuring that they are reflected in the primary section's activities and programs.
• Foster an environment of respect, inclusivity, and curiosity, where every child is encouraged to explore their potential and grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Encourage students to participate in the school's broader goals, such as sustainability, community service, and leadership development.
