Role Description

Business ownership: The position is that of pricing officer who would primarily be responsible for cost optimization for the services being offered under Beautiful Home Services. He should have the pricing understanding for the
categories like Civil work, Fixed Furniture, Loose furniture and; other residential interior works in the given geography.

Prior experience of working with CAD softwares and experience in D2M softwares is desirable.

Market Information: Should be abreast with market rates & ensure that BHS prices are continuously benchmarked against the same, to ensure BHS is price competitive. Drawings and BOQ Validation: For specific high value customized projects, he should be validating the drawings and BOQ provided by the designer and do the feasibility check before finalizing the quotation, Specifications and Product Business

Responsibility Areas

  • Support Field teams with Pricing queries/ reduction requirements in Quotations/ re-benchmarking/ re-negotiations in a timely manner for SKUs not present in Master BOQ/ Customization requirements
  • Preparing and maintaining BOQs with appropriate rate analysis considering all variable factors
  • Capability of working with CAD softwares and experience in cut list softwares is mandatory
  • Validate and review drawings, BOQs, POs, WOs
  • Ability to assess design feasibility, visualize on-site conditions and foresee execution risks.
  • Value engineering for optimized prices keeping customers aspirations in mind
  • Refreshing Master BOQ/Price list at regular intervals to ensure the BOQ is updated across all work-scopes including labor and material
  • Review Quotations across sites regularly to identify areas of cost optimization, conduct necessary negotiations leading to higher site conversions
  • Regular cost analysis across vendors in their respective area of coverage (Furniture, Lighting, furnishing etc.) to identify cost optimization possibilities via Material/ vendor/ cost refresh at a Unit level
  • Conducting market analysis to optimize the current rate of materials - negotiate with vendors accordingly and provide material trend related inputs to central design/ visualization / Supply chain teams
  • Conduct Price benchmarking against Organized Competition and Local Players at least once every 3 months and undertake Master BOQ + GC Pricing corrections accordingly
  • Work closely with PMC and Regional teams for Installation and Civil Vendor Development for residential interior and commercial interior related work execution
  • This will include Supplier Identification, sending enquiries, Collecting Quotations, Rate Negotiations and Comparative Statement preparation
  • Build and manage network of potential non-core material manufacturers/ vendors to ensure smooth and timely supply of products
  • Evaluate vendors based on: Supply Capacity, Scalability, Cost, After Sales Service (Defects, Warranties etc), Delivery Timelines, Payment Terms, Manufacturing facilities, Manpower, Area of specialization, Cost bracket of operation (Economy, Premium, Luxury Sites based on Cost of Construction per Sq. Ft.)

Role Requirements / Specifications
Qualifications Essential
  • Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering or from Design Background
  • A minimum of 60% marks throughout education
  • Graduation must be through a full-time day course
Desired
  • Candidates with experience from modular furniture portfolio
Previous Experience Desired
  • Have an experience in preparing cut list drawings/shop drawings
