Preschool Teacher

Summary:
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. This role involves designing and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum, fostering a positive classroom atmosphere, and maintaining open communication with parents and guardians.
Key Responsibilities:
• Curriculum Development and Implementation:
• Plan and implement a curriculum that meets the developmental needs of preschool-aged children.
• Create lesson plans that incorporate various learning activities, including arts, crafts, music, storytelling, and physical activities.
• Use a variety of teaching techniques and strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Classroom Management:
• Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Develop and enforce classroom rules to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
• Observe and assess children's progress and development, documenting any areas of concern.
• Child Development:
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture.
• Support children's social and emotional development by modeling appropriate behavior and providing guidance.
• Identify and address any developmental or behavioral issues, working with specialists as needed.
• Parent and Guardian Engagement:
• Maintain open, honest, and regular communication with parents and guardians about their child's progress and any concerns.
• Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss children's development and provide guidance on supporting learning at home.
• Organize and participate in school events, workshops, and activities that involve families.
• Professional Development:
• Stay current with best practices in early childhood education by participating in professional development opportunities.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and support each other's professional growth.
• Health and Safety:
• Follow all school policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of all children.
• Administer basic first aid as needed and follow protocols for handling emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, accidents, and incidents.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• State certification in early childhood education, if applicable.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting.
• Experience in creating and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans.
• Skills and Abilities:
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and software is a plus.

Pay: ?8,000.00 - ?10,000.00 per month
