Job Description

The assistant teacher supports the main teacher in daily classroom activities, helping to nurture and educate preschool children while ensuring their safety and well-being. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and interested in contributing to the developmental milestones of young children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Classroom Support:
• Assist the main teacher in preparing and organizing the classroom environment.
• Help set up and clear away materials and equipment before and after activities.
• Support the delivery of educational programs and activities designed by the main teacher.
• Child Supervision:
• Supervise children in the classroom, playground, and during off-site activities to ensure their safety.
• Assist children with daily tasks, such as dressing, toileting, eating, and sleeping.
• Observe children's interactions and report any concerns to the main teacher.
• Learning Assistance:
• Work with small groups of children or individually to reinforce learning activities.
• Provide additional support to children with special needs or those who require extra attention.
• Encourage children's participation in activities and nurture their performance.
• Communication:
• Communicate effectively with children at their developmental level.
• Maintain open and professional communication with parents, under the guidance of the main teacher.
• Report to the main teacher about children's progress and any incidents.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Assist in maintaining accurate records, such as attendance and health and safety reports.
• Help in organizing school events and field trips.
• Professional Development:
• Participate in training and development sessions to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in early childhood education.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?13,000.00 - ?15,000.00 per month
