Requisition Number: 97501Architect IThe Architect is responsible for assessing and designing complex solutions to meet our clients technology and business needs. The Architect is a subject matter expert for strategic client opportunities and provides leadership and technical support to their teammates. Acts as a Team Lead on large engagements.Principle Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Assists with developing new solution offerings, including training plans and sales enablement.
  • Provides Project quality assurance and technical oversight.
  • Researches and evaluates client systems and architecture; draws conclusions; and develops recommendations in accordance with engagement objectives.
  • Leads and manages the creation and execution of project technical budget and scope.
  • Discusses project scope and budget with the customer and directs project scope to be able to be implemented on time and budget without sacrificing quality.
  • Acts as a team lead on large engagements taking ownership of the project outcome and quality.
  • Identifies and resolves project issues with clients.
  • Writes proposal components or letters of understanding, as needed, and responds to RFPs and other marketing situations.
  • Works with internal personnel to define service opportunities, and develop standards of delivery, templates, and standard work products to meet internal and external delivery expectations.
  • Leads identification of business and technical requirements.
  • Implements technologies and solutions based on designs.
  • Plans own and teams work to meet given objectives and processes.
  • Demonstrates analytical and systematic approach to problem solving and mentors team members to follow this/her approach
  • Assists with the coaching and mentoring of teammates.
  • Helps to develop technology solutions while ensuring a personal specialisation in one or more IT technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in designing, building, and implementing Microsoft solutions based around Azure IaaS and PaaS.
  • Azure DevOps, build/deploy CI/CD tools/pipeline, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (Terraform)
  • Applying cloud adoption framework and well architected frameworks in enterprise environments
  • Experience in Datacentre Migration and Transformation programs of work.
  • Understanding of Azure Governance, Security, Identity, Monitoring, Automation (Sentinel, Defender, Azure Security Centre)
  • Experience with Apps, Containers, AKS / Kubernetes, and Application Deployment / PaaS solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of foundational active directory and networking principles.
  • Proven analysis skills with the ability to work with a client to understand requirements, define and present appropriate solution, and oversee delivery of a solution to the client.
  • Comfortable with presenting and communicating technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain effective customer and user relationships, including representing Insight at conferences, User Groups and other marketing/PR activities as appropriate.
  • Demonstrated project delivery, autonomy and time management skills
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills
  • Understanding of scripting using Azure CLI and PowerShell
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (AZ-900, AZ-500, AZ-104, AZ-3030, AZ-304)
