Key Responsibilities:
• Lesson Planning and Instruction:
• Develop and deliver engaging lessons in all core subjects (English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and other subjects as per the curriculum).
• Plan and implement a variety of teaching strategies to cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
• Use interactive teaching tools and resources (e.g., multimedia, charts, educational games) to make lessons fun and engaging.
• Ensure lessons are in line with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Curriculum Management:
• Prepare and organize course materials, lesson plans, assignments, and worksheets for each subject.
• Adapt and modify lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students, including those requiring extra support or enrichment.
• Ensure that the curriculum is being followed accurately and that students meet learning outcomes for each subject.
• Assessment and Evaluation:
• Assess students' understanding through a variety of methods, such as quizzes, tests, projects, and oral assessments.
• Track and document student progress, providing feedback on academic performance and areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and communicate this with parents and school management.
• Classroom Management:
• Create a positive and disciplined classroom environment that fosters mutual respect and encourages active participation.
• Maintain a well-organized classroom, ensuring that resources and materials are accessible and well-maintained.
• Address student behavioral issues in a constructive and positive manner while maintaining focus on learning.
• Student Support and Development:
• Offer additional support to students who are struggling with specific subjects or concepts.
• Provide individualized attention and help students build confidence in their academic abilities.
• Foster the development of social skills, creativity, and critical thinking in students through group activities and class discussions.
• Extra-Curricular Activities:
• Encourage students to participate in extra-curricular activities such as art, music, sports, and drama to help develop their overall personality.
• Organize and participate in school events, like sports days, annual functions, or cultural programs.
• Help organize classroom projects, field trips, and hands-on learning experiences to enhance students' understanding of different subjects.
• Parent and Teacher Communication:
• Maintain regular communication with parents to discuss their child's progress, behavior, and overall development.
• Attend parent-teacher meetings and share feedback on students' academic and social growth.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support students' holistic development.
• Professional Development:
• Participate in workshops, seminars, and training sessions to improve teaching skills and stay updated with the latest educational trends.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your understanding of child development, teaching methodologies, and curriculum changes.
• Share ideas and best practices with colleagues to improve the teaching environment and educational outcomes.
• Incorporating Technology in Teaching:
• Utilize digital tools and resources, such as educational apps, online learning platforms, and multimedia, to support and enhance lessons.
• Encourage students to use technology for research, presentations, and collaborative projects.
