Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Planning and Implementation: Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that promote the holistic development of young children, including social-emotional skills, language and literacy, numeracy, creative expression, and physical development.
  • Play-Based Learning: Facilitate play-based learning experiences that encourage exploration, discovery, creativity, and problem-solving. Provide opportunities for hands-on, sensory-rich activities that support children\'s natural curiosity and interests.
  • Individualized Instruction: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of individual children, including those with varying learning styles, interests, and developmental levels. Provide additional support or enrichment as needed.
  • Assessment and Documentation: Assess children\'s progress and development through ongoing observation, documentation, and assessment tools. Maintain accurate records of children\'s growth, achievements, and milestones.
  • Parent Communication: Establish and maintain open, positive communication with parents/guardians, including regular updates on children\'s progress, conferences, and opportunities for parent involvement in their child\'s learning.
  • Classroom Management: Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel valued, respected, and supported. Establish routines and expectations that promote positive behavior and social interaction.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom. Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines, including maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, stay current with best practices in early childhood education, and fulfill continuing education requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning community. Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Parent Education: Provide parents/guardians with resources, guidance, and support related to child development, parenting strategies, and early literacy and numeracy skills.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master\'s degree preferred)
  • Early Childhood Education certification or licensure (if applicable)
  • Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or early childhood education setting
  • Knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education theories, and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children
  • Ability to create a warm, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
  • Fluency in English (additional language proficiency may be advantageous)
