Position Overview:
The Sun School, Vizianagaram, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pre-primary Curriculum Coordinator to lead and manage its Pre-primary section, focusing on early childhood education (Nursery to Kindergarten). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of early childhood pedagogy, excellent leadership and organizational skills, and the ability to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment. This role demands a hands-on leader who can ensure high-quality educational experiences for young learners while fostering a collaborative culture among staff and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Design and Implementation
• Oversee the development and implementation of a holistic and engaging curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Regularly review and update the curriculum based on current research and best practices in early childhood education.
2. Leadership and Strategic Management
• Provide visionary leadership to the preprimary section, ensuring that all educational and operational activities align with the Organization.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance early childhood education programs.
3. Teacher Supervision and Professional Development
• Providing guidance in lesson planning, classroom management, and instructional strategies.
• Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers on their teaching methods, interactions with students, and overall performance.
• Facilitate collaborative planning sessions and encourage the exchange of innovative teaching ideas within the team.
4. Student-Centered Learning and Development
• Foster a nurturing and safe environment where each child feels valued and is encouraged to explore their potential.
• Monitor and assess the developmental milestones of students through observation and assessments, ensuring individualized learning plans for students needing additional support.
• Organize age-appropriate enrichment activities, events, and field trips to enhance students' learning experiences.
5. Administrative and Operational Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day operations, including student enrollment, class scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management for the preprimary division.
• Ensure compliance with all school policies, regulatory standards, and safety guidelines.
6. School Events and Activities
• Plan and oversee special events such as annual day, sports day, cultural festivals, and thematic learning days for preprimary students.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of events, including logistics, scheduling, and participation.
• Foster student participation in school-wide activities, encouraging creativity, teamwork, and self-expression.
7. Key Qualifications & Requirements:
• Educational Background:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education Administration, or related field.
• Knowledge & Skills:
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles, methodologies, and age-appropriate learning strategies.
• Familiarity with CBSE guidelines and curriculum standards.
• Knowledge on integrating technology in early learning, with a focus on digital literacy and interactive learning tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and professionalism.
• Familiarity with Art, Sports and Music curriculum for Inclusive education.
• Good command on English Language and Literature.
• Technology Proficiency:
• Adept at using school management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital communication tools for internal and external reporting.
• Personal Traits:
