: Pre-Editing Specialist

Salary: Up to ?15,000/month

Location: Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Role Overview:

ACS Networks & Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Editing Specialist to review and refine content before it undergoes detailed editing or processing. This role requires a strong command of language, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure that initial content is clear, accurate, and ready for further refinement.

Key Responsibilities:

Review documents for basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.Ensure consistency in terminology and style across all content.Simplify complex sentences to enhance readability.Identify and eliminate ambiguity or culturally specific references.Check for adherence to provided guidelines or templates.Collaborate with content creators, editors, and translators to ensure quality.Perform basic fact-checking and ensure logical flow.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.Attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying errors.Basic understanding of content management and editing tools.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Previous experience in editing, pre-editing, or proofreading is a plus.

Skills:

Excellent grammar and language skills.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word or other text editors.Familiarity with style guides (like APA, MLA) is an advantage.
