• Creating a safe and inclusive environment A pre-primary teacher is responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively.
• Teaching foundational concepts Pre-primary teachers introduce children to foundational concepts, social skills, and routines that prepare them for formal schooling.
• Assessing and tracking progress Pre-primary teachers assess and track children's progress, and report to parents.
• Adapting teaching methods Pre-primary teachers adapt teaching methods to individual learning styles.
• Communicating with parents Pre-primary teachers communicate with parents about their child's progress.
• Maintaining a clean classroom Pre-primary teachers maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
• Socialising children Pre-primary teachers socialise children with each other and resolve arguments within the classroom.
• Performing other duties Pre-primary teachers perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.
