Job Summary:
The Academic Coordinator for Pre-Primary is responsible for overseeing the academic curriculum and instructional strategies for early childhood education. This role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and administration to ensure a nurturing, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Curriculum Development:
• Design and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards.
• Regularly review and update curricular materials to incorporate best practices in early childhood education.
• Teacher Support and Development:
• Provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities for pre-primary educators.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to enhance teaching practices.
• Assessment and Evaluation:
• Develop and oversee assessment tools to evaluate student progress and program effectiveness.
• Analyze assessment data to inform instructional strategies and curriculum improvements.
• Parental Engagement:
• Foster strong communication with parents and guardians to support student learning and development.
• Organize workshops and informational sessions for parents on early childhood education topics.
• Program Administration:
• Assist in the administration of budgets and resources for the pre-primary program.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies related to early childhood education.
• Collaboration:
• Work collaboratively with other academic coordinators and staff to promote a cohesive educational experience across grades.
• Participate in school committees and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in early childhood education, with leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of child development theories and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and families.
