The Pre-Primary Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, academic programs, and developmental goals of the pre-primary section. The role focuses on curriculum planning, teacher training, classroom observation, and ensuring a nurturing and engaging environment for early learners.
Key Responsibilities:Academic Leadership:
Design and implement an age-appropriate curriculum aligned with the school's educational philosophy.
Ensure effective delivery of teaching and learning practices across pre-primary grades.
Review and update lesson plans, teaching methodologies, and classroom materials.
Team Management:
Lead and mentor pre-primary teachers and support staff.
Conduct regular staff meetings, training, and workshops.
Support teacher development through classroom observations and feedback.
Student Development:
Monitor student progress and ensure holistic development--cognitive, emotional, social, and physical.
Collaborate with teachers to identify and support students with special needs or developmental delays.
Promote inclusive education and child-centered approaches.
Parent Engagement:
Conduct parent orientations, workshops, and regular communication.
Address parental concerns and ensure alignment between school and home environments.
Maintain transparency and partnership with parents on student development.
Operational Duties:
Ensure safety, hygiene, and child-friendly facilities in classrooms and activity spaces.
Coordinate events, celebrations, and field trips relevant to the pre-primary section.
Maintain records related to student performance, attendance, and assessments.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in early years education; 2+ years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of early childhood pedagogy and development.
