Job Summary:
We're looking for a highly organized and analytical PPC professional to develop and implement effective production plans, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products while optimizing resources and minimizing waste. The ideal candidate will have experience in production planning and control, preferably in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive production plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer demand, and available resources.
2. Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer feedback to forecast demand and inform production planning decisions.
3. Capacity Planning: Determine production capacity requirements, ensuring optimal utilization of equipment, labor, and materials.
4. Material Planning: Plan and coordinate material procurement, storage, and issuance to support production requirements.
5. Production Scheduling: Create and manage production schedules, ensuring timely completion of production orders and meeting customer delivery deadlines.
6. Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, minimizing waste and ensuring optimal stock levels.
7. Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
8. Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure seamless execution of production plans and resolve any issues that may arise.
9. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning and control, preferably in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
3. Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Google Suite.
4. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
5. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
1. Certifications: APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) certification or equivalent.
2. Lean Manufacturing: Experience with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
3. Six Sigma: Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Six Sigma.
