Through the Design Center you will collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals in Sweden, use cutting-edge technology, and play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions for our clients.About the team in SwedenWithin AFRY Rail we have about 150 employees divided into 6 geographical sections.Our team (section) in Sweden are spread over 6 offices in G\xc3\xa4vle, Borl\xc3\xa4nge, Falun, Sundsvall, Sollefte\xc3\xa5 and Lule\xc3\xa5. The team consists of colleagues who work with all different areas within railway design.You will report to the section manager.Your key responsibilitiesWe cover all necessary approvals and expertise for systems in low-range applications (
1000V), the voltage supply of entire train stations and uninterruptible power supply for signaling switchgears.

• Cable installation up to voltages of 1 kV
• Points heating systems / local control equipment
• Switchgear and lighting systems
• 50-Hz systems
• Power substations
• Construction of railway power systems
• Work on projects of preliminary and detailed railway system design together with colleagues in Sweden
• Establish and deliver CAD drawings, 3D-models, materials lists and specifications
• Work closely with peers, line manager and other discipline engineers to ensure delivery that will meet utility standards, industry standards and meet good engineering practices, policies and procedures
• Support our clients with tender documents and tendering services for railway projects

QualificationsWe expect that you have

• A Qualified Degree in Electrical engineering from a reputed College or achieved an equivalent level through previous tasks/employment
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in design of Power supply rail
• Working knowledge of Bentley Open Rail, Bentley Microstation or Civil 3D
• Working knowledge of 3D modelling
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English language (CEFR minimum level B1)
• Good technical writing skills
• A good knowledge of working in relevant applications of MS Office

We appreciate if you have

• Knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise Explorer
• Knowledge of railway contracts/production
• Experience of working with projects in the Nordics, especially projects associated with the Swedish Transport Administration
• Knowledge of Swedish regulations and electricity systems
