By leveraging world-class engineering capabilities and with a relentless focus on innovation, we strive to create a world where clean, green energy from the sun is the primary source of power for our homes, businesses, and just about everywhere we thrive.Our R&D division is growing globally, and we are looking for experienced Power Electronics and Mechanical Lab In-charge to oversee our laboratory operations and manage the development, testing to join our Power Electronics laboratory team at the new R&D site in Bangalore, India.What will you be doing?

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the power electronics and mechanical laboratory.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee testing activities for Power Electronics and Mechanical components and systems.
  • Ensuring the laboratory is a safe and effective place to work, and that the test equipment is well-maintained and properly used.
  • Lead a team of technicians in conducting experiments, electronics boards assemblies, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Being responsible for organising and maintaining our lab infrastructure, carrying out on-site repairs where possible, and otherwise liaising with equipment suppliers.
  • Ensuring laboratory consumables are well stocked; and equipment is procured to anticipate user demands.
  • Organizing ESD and Safety trainings for all lab users.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, power analyzers, function generators, and other specialized equipment.
  • Manage parts Inventory and procurement processes, ensuring adequate supplies for testing and research activities.
  • Perform SMT solder rework of low to high-complexity, high-density PCBAs. If more complex rework is required, schedule and manage outside vendors to complete rework.
  • Support hardware verification by executing documented test plans with the use of typical electronic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, voltage meters, power supplies, electronic loads, and PC command lines)
Requirements:
  • ITI or Diploma certificates in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics, or a related field, Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree is preferred.
  • 15+ Years of Prior experience in operating and maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment in a research & development (R&D) environment.
  • Knowledge of the requirements of a well-run modern laboratory
  • Professional work experience as a lab manager.
  • Inventory control and other lab management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective supervision of lab users and advocating best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong, clear communication, and excellent time management
