Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PowerBuilder Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining applications using PowerBuilder and related technologies. You will work on analyzing user requirements, designing, coding, testing, and implementing software solutions to support business processes.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications using PowerBuilder.

Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and end-users to gather and analyze requirements.

Enhance and optimize existing applications to improve performance and functionality.

Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly.

Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Document application development processes, including design, coding, and testing procedures.

Maintain database systems in coordination with database administrators, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.

Keep up-to-date with the latest PowerBuilder technologies and best practices to implement innovative solutions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

10-12 years of experience in software development with PowerBuilder.

Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase).

Experience with debugging and performance tuning of PowerBuilder applications.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with integration of PowerBuilder applications with web services or APIs.

Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., .NET, Java).

Experience in migrating legacy PowerBuilder applications to modern platforms.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
