JD:
Report Development & Design

• Develop and Design Reports: Create and manage interactive Power BI reports and dashboards using Power BI Report Builder and Power BI Desktop, tailored to business requirements.
• Custom Visualizations: Implement advanced custom visuals, slicers, KPIs, and other Power BI features to enhance interactivity and user engagement.
• Advanced Report Features: Utilize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M) to create complex calculations, measures, and calculated columns within reports.
• Business Requirement Translation: Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate those requirements into effective data visualizations.

Data Modeling & Transformation

• Data Integration & ETL: Connect Power BI to various data sources (SQL Server, Azure, Excel, REST APIs, etc.) and perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.
• Data Modeling: Design and implement robust and scalable data models in Power BI, ensuring consistency and accuracy in reporting.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize data models and reports to ensure fast load times and high performance, especially for large data sets and complex queries.

Advanced Analytics & DAX Development

• DAX Expertise: Develop complex DAX queries for calculations such as KPIs, aggregates, trend analysis, and time-based calculations.
• Measure Creation: Implement custom measures, calculated columns, and row-level security (RLS) to meet reporting needs.
• Data Analysis: Leverage advanced analytics techniques to deliver actionable insights from business data through well-structured reports and dashboards.

Deployment & Maintenance

• Report Publishing & Management: Publish Power BI reports to Power BI Service, ensuring proper security protocols, access controls, and configuration for sharing.
• Report Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain reports to reflect new data sources, business requirements, and performance improvements.
• Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve issues related to data discrepancies, report performance, and Power BI Service access.

Collaboration & Communication

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with business users, data engineers, and project managers to ensure that reports meet user requirements and deliver business value.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate report capabilities, data insights, and technical limitations to stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.
• User Training & Support: Provide guidance to business users on how to leverage Power BI reports and dashboards, and assist in troubleshooting user issues.

Documentation & Best Practices

• Document Reports: Ensure all reports and dashboards are documented, including data sources, logic, calculations, and intended outcomes.
• Adhere to Best Practices: Follow best practices for report design, data modeling, and dashboard usability, ensuring consistency, scalability, and security across reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications: Technical Skills:

• Power BI: Expert proficiency with Power BI Report Builder, Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and associated tools.
• DAX (Data Analysis Expressions): Strong experience in writing complex DAX formulas to create calculated fields, measures, and KPIs.
• Power Query (M): Advanced knowledge of Power Query for data transformation, shaping, and cleaning.
• Data Modeling: Experience in designing and maintaining efficient data models, optimized for reporting performance.
• Data Integration: Solid experience in integrating various data sources, such as SQL databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL), Excel, REST APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Performance Tuning: Ability to optimize Power BI reports for performance, including reducing load times and ensuring seamless user experience with large data sets.

Experience:

• Total Experience: 8+ years of IT experience in Business Intelligence, with at least 5-6 years of focused experience in Power BI development.
• Power BI Experience: Demonstrated experience in building, deploying, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Report Development: Proven track record of developing complex Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPIs tailored to business requirements.

Educational Qualifications:

• Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications (optional): Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (or related Power BI certifications) preferred.
