Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Working with users for gathering requirements and translating them.
Ingesting data from a variety of data sources like database, excel, sharepoint etc. and performing required transformations in Power BI query editor.
Data modelling capabilities including designing effective BI data models.
Should be well versed with Power BI Desktop and Service.
Developing calculated columns and tables.
Developing calculations in DAX which are accurate and performant on large datasets.
Designing effective reports using various visualizations and use navigation features in Power BI (e.g. bookmarks, drill-throughs).
Publishing reports via the Power BI service, managing them through distribution of apps and monitoring usage/data refreshes/security access.
Should be well versed in developing and refreshing dataflows and datasets.
Writing SQL queries for data validation and data analysis
Good Understanding of Data Warehousing and Databases (Oracle, Snowflake)
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
Essential
Strong Data Warehousing knowledge
Good Understanding of Relational Databases like Oracle, Snowflake, SQL Server.
Very strong SQL skills for querying and creation of views/tables, functions and stored procedures.
Some understanding on ETL tool.
Basic knowledge of using excel to do data pivoting etc.
