Job Title: Powder Coating Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coating Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for applying powder coatings to metal and other materials, ensuring a durable, high-quality finish. This role requires precision, knowledge of various coating materials, and the ability to operate and maintain coating equipment safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or sandblasting to ensure proper adhesion of the powder coating.
• Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray guns, ensuring even and consistent coverage.
• Cure coated parts in a controlled oven to achieve a durable, hard finish.
• Inspect finished products for quality, including checking for imperfections, uneven coatings, and defects.
• Maintain coating equipment, including regular cleaning and adjustments, to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor and manage coating materials, including inventory tracking and material preparation.
• Adhere to safety standards and guidelines, including proper handling of chemicals and protective equipment.
• Work closely with production teams to meet deadlines and production goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in powder coating or related fields is a plus.
• Experience in powder coating or similar finishing techniques preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to follow proper procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, heat, and fumes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?24,000.00 per month
