Brief Description about the Project
The USDA Cornell Gut microbiome research program focuses on understanding the effect of multiple micronutrient fortified salt on the gut microbiome and metabolic health outcomes.
The collaboration of maternal and child nutrition program between SJRI and Cornell University in South India includes randomized controlled trials, cohort studies and a population - based periconceptional surveillance program.
We are seeking a Research Coordinator to join our research team, to work both at SJRI and at our research field site.

Salary: Rs. 50,000/- to 55,000/-month
Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Nutrition, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or relevant field.
Language: Telugu, English.
Location : Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh (Research Field Site) and Bangalore, India.
Experience: Minimum Experience of 1 to 2 years.
Experience in
• Project management and prior public health fieldwork experience.
• Good background in maternal and child research, body composition, micronutrient research.
• Excellent technical, analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills, written, interpersonal and oral communication skills; and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary research team.Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, goal and detail-oriented work style and consistent follow through on research projects.
• Experience liaising with institutional review boards, Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) and other regulatory academic and governmental institutions.
• Training in epidemiologic methods and experience in statistical programming software, including proficiency in SAS and/or R, is desirable

Roles & Responsibilities:
• The candidate will be responsible for coordination of research, operational, data, laboratory, and regulatory activities for research projects at our research field site in Southern India.
• She/He will develop research manuscripts, systematic reviews, and grant submissions to funding agencies. The candidate will provide technical guidance on coordination or research projects. This includes but is not limited to coordination and updating of study specific documentation as well as collaboration with team members on the development of research protocols, submission of manuscripts and systematic reviews and regulatory submissions to institutional Review boards and international funding organizations. In India, the candidate will be responsible for program oversight and coordination of daily research activities and project logistics.
