The PMD Fitter is responsible for the preventive and routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and machinery within the facility.
This role involves conducting regular inspections, identifying and fixing mechanical issues, and ensuring equipment reliability to support uninterrupted production.
The PMD Fitter will also work closely with the maintenance team to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance protocols.
Requirements * Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks on equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements to reduce equipment downtime.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment; carry out repairs or adjustments as needed.
Inspection: Conduct routine inspections to identify worn, damaged, or faulty parts, and proactively address potential issues to avoid unplanned breakdowns.
Equipment Setup: Assist in the setup, calibration, and alignment of equipment and machinery as required to meet production needs.
Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records, including details of repairs, parts used, and scheduled maintenance activities.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage spare parts and tools inventory, coordinating with the procurement team to ensure necessary materials are in stock.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the maintenance department; participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.
Collaboration: Work closely with the production and engineering teams to minimize production disruptions and provide technical support for process improvements.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to maintenance practices, machinery performance, and department efficiency.
