Category Manager
- As the Category Manager for Value Added Products at Pluckk, you will be responsible for overseeing the profit and loss (P&L) of the value-added category, ensuring end-to-end management of the category.
- Your primary focus will be to drive product sales, manage margins, fill rates, and live rates on both direct-to-consumer (D2C) and marketplace platforms.
- Additionally, you will be responsible for product merchandising, devising annual operating plans (AOP), tracking performance metrics, managing product packaging, and creating A+ content for products.
- You will collaborate closely with Key Account Managers (KAMs) to ensure that products are properly listed and live on marketplace platforms.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assume ownership of the profit and loss (P&L) for the value-added product category.
- Develop strategies to maximize revenue, optimize margins, and achieve financial targets.
- Ensure seamless execution of category initiatives to drive growth and profitability.
- Implement strategies to drive product sales and improve margins.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, margins, fill rates, and live rates across D2C and marketplace platforms.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure proper merchandising of value-added products to enhance visibility and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to optimize product placement and presentation on the platform.
- Develop annual operating plans (AOP) for the value-added category, including sales targets, promotional calendars, and budget allocations.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to monitor progress against AOP targets.
- Oversee product packaging design and development to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and customer preferences.
- Create compelling A+ content for products to enhance product visibility and conversion rates.
- Marketplace Coordination - Coordinate with Key Account Managers (KAMs) to ensure timely listing and live status of value-added products on marketplace platforms.
- Monitor marketplace performance and collaborate with KAMs to address any issues or opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master\'s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in category management, preferably in the e-commerce or retail industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective category strategies.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on achieving results and meeting targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Experience with marketplace platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart etc. is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
