PLC & SCADA Project Engineer:- Key Responsibilities
  • System Design and Development:
  • Develop and implement PLC and SCADA systems for industrial automation projects.
  • Design control system architectures including selection of hardware and software components.
  • Programming:
  • Write and debug PLC code using ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagrams.
  • Develop SCADA applications including graphic displays, trends, alarms, and reports.
  • Installation and Commissioning:
  • Oversee the installation of control systems at client sites.
  • Conduct testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of PLC and SCADA systems.
  • Maintenance and Support:
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for installed systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to control systems.
  • Documentation and Training:
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for all aspects of the control systems.
  • Provide training to end-users and operators on system functionality and maintenance.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and IT professionals.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text).
  • Experience with SCADA software (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, Siemens WinCC).
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
  • Familiarity with HMI design and implementation.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  • Ability to design efficient and reliable control systems.
  • Project Management:
  • Experience in managing automation projects from conception to completion.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an industrial environment.
