Job Description

We are currently seeking PLC Automation Engineers to join our dynamic team at QikPod, where our goal is to revolutionise the last-mile delivery industry. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for innovation and quality. You will be a member of our Robotics team co-crafting innovative automation systems and solutions.

We are looking for PLC Engineers with at least 3 years of experience in plc, robotics, automation and control systems. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for working on robotics projects, implementing and maintaining control systems, and ensuring seamless communication between various components. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and play a crucial role in the development of robotic systems that push the boundaries of technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• PLC Programming : Develop and maintain PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) code for robotics systems, ensuring precise control of robotic movements and operations.
• Sensor Integration : Integrate a variety of sensors (e.g., vision sensors, proximity sensors, ultrasonic sensors) into robotic systems to enhance perception and decision-making capabilities.
• Servo Motor Control : Implement and fine-tune servo motor control algorithms to achieve high precision and smooth motion control in robotic applications.
• Communication Protocols : Configure and troubleshoot communication protocols such as RS485, EtherCAT, CAN, and others to establish reliable data exchange between robotic components.
• Collaborative Problem-Solving : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical challenges in robotic projects, ensuring project milestones are met.
• Testing and Debugging : Conduct thorough testing and debugging of control systems and robotic hardware to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Documentation : Create and maintain detailed documentation for control systems, sensor integration, and communication protocols for reference and future improvements.
• Continuous Learning : Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in robotics, PLC technology, and control systems to contribute fresh ideas and solutions to the team.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant experience in automation field and having Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as RS485, EtherCAT, CAN, and Ethernet/IP.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in PLCs (e.g., ladder logic, structured text, or Function Block Diagram).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for robotics and automation.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
