OUR IMPACT
As an Associate in the Payment & Reconciliations team within Platform Solutions, you will be part of the global team that supports customers non transaction dispute and other special handling requests. The Payment & Reconciliations team conducts investigations on customer-initiated disputes related to Payment, Rewards, Statement & Fee and make sure the team is adhering to compliance and Regulatory requirements. The team also investigates payments that were rejected at intake due to insufficient details and reviews documents, attributes & create relevant case for teams which are received at lockbox. You will perform a critical role to improve the efficiency, automation, reporting, remediations, and effectiveness of the process. You will liaise with multiple stakeholders across Platform Solutions to focus on the key initiatives & reporting. You will also make sure that the process is meeting all regulatory requirements and meeting quality at all process, if unable to meet you will be reporting the breaks and gaps in the process and report the same to leadership and work on resolution plans to improve. Your role plays an important role for the process to be regulatory complaint & help our consumers with correct & timely resolutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES
Platform Solutions a division of Goldman Sachs, is seeking an Associate within our Payments team. The Payments team is an integral part the customer experience by providing payment issue remediation through casework, and by providing effective communication both written and verbal to internal partners. The candidate must be able to prioritize several tasks within a day and still meet daily deadline. Regulatory knowledge and experience or knowledge of payment processing are preferred.
• Understanding of basic banking, check payments, wires and ACH and Bill Pay
• Comfortable working and communicating with multiple stakeholders at different levels
• Familiarity with US banking regulations such as Reg Z, Reg O, Reg V, TILA and ECOA
• Has a good understanding of CFPB guidelines to meet consumer banking requirements
• Prepare to gain a comprehensive understanding of a loan/credit product lifecycle and associated payments flows by interacting with multiple firmwide stakeholders such as Global Control, Product Controllers, Treasury and Technology
• Partner with a team of specialists to deliver top notch client service while ensuring risks are appropriately mitigated
• Showcase your attention to detail and ability to manage several tasks at once by ensuring all accounting breaks in the books and records are appropriately investigated and resolved, customer communications sent and assigned Payment and Reconciliation cases worked within the specified SLAs
• Identify processes and controls improvement by leveraging constant evolving tools that can be used to build scalability without introducing new risks
• Demonstrate basic banking knowledge with an emphasis on lending/credit product
• Ensure SLAs are meet by understand key performance metrics and communicate upward on drivers
• Strong analytical skills, and problem-solving ability with a risk and control mentality
• Ensure a team environment is maintained. Be engaging and motivating
• Be a point of contact for internal inquiries, process enhancements, and escalations
• Flexible and able to work under pressure with shifting priorities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Graduation or equivalent
• 5-8 years of people management experience in an operations environment
• Microsoft office skills desired
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Good understanding of payments, accounting & ledger posting
• Familiarity with US banking regulations such as Reg Z, TILA and ECOA
• Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability and control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to take data and analyse into meaningful results
