Job Description


We are looking for a Deputy Plant Manager-Plant Operations (Technical) to supervise, monitor and control daily plant operations effectively to achieve desired targets, as per business plan and to drive plant processes like HR, PPC, Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Maintenance etc, whereby ensuring effective customer satisfaction with continuous improvement activities across the Operations.The responsibilities also include the following. * Formulate and implement production plans as per various Sales targets, on day to day basis and responsible for achieving targets as per plan..

  • Total Production, Planning and Control management.
  • Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans in the plant to attain the productivity and cash profit targets,
  • Organize and control all production operations within the plant to achieve all output targets in terms of quantity, quality, productivity, efficiencies and customer satisfaction
  • Initiate and implement steps to minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, energy and working capital.
  • To develop and implement short and long term plans to ensure that the Plant has the necessary resources to meet business objectives and to participate in annual business planning and budgeting of the plant
  • To develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that the Plant, equipment, manpower and other resources are effectively utilized to ensure maximum production efficiency and quality targets.
  • To plan and ensure adherence to preventive and predictive maintenance schedule and obtain highest degree of customer satisfaction
  • To oversee quality testing (with Quality Manager) of all incoming raw materials, in-process product and of finished product with regards to defined parameters and provide support in case of any discrepancies/ issues.
  • To develop good maintenance practices and ensure 0 down time of machines
  • To work as a balancing function between Inventory management (RM and FG), Sourcing/procurement, PPC, Stores, Maintenance and aim towards maximizing the line productivity.
  • To reduce the inventory carrying cost by effective planning
  • To be a leader, mentor and guide to the work force team including staff and workmen
  • Responsible for maintaining peace and harmony in plant working and attend/resolve labour issue (if any) timely and in interest of organisation at all times.
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
b)xe2x80x8b Eligibility and Experience:
  • Graduate in Mechanical engineering from any recognized University/Institution
  • Should have at least 12-14 years of hands on experience in manufacturing company in core plant operations area.
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation etc.)
  • Adequate knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and processes.
  • Have good experience in implementing and sustaining latest management tools like Lean tools, TPM, TQM, ERP, Industrial Engineering, MIS automation and low cost materials handling.
