Job Title: Plant Incharge

Job Summary:
The Plant In charge is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the fabrication plant, ensuring that production runs smoothly, workers follow safety and quality protocols, and production targets are met efficiently. The role requires strong leadership skills to manage the workforce, maintain equipment, and coordinate with various departments to optimize productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Daily Operations Management:
• Supervise and coordinate all fabrication processes to ensure efficient production.
• Monitor the flow of materials and resources to ensure timely completion of production schedules.
• Troubleshoot any operational issues and ensure minimal downtime.
• Workforce Management:
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to plant workers and ensure their performance aligns with production goals.
• Conduct daily briefings and meetings with the workforce to update them on production goals, safety protocols, and issues.
• Train and mentor workers to maintain high productivity and work standards.
• Production Planning & Coordination:
• Work closely with the production planning team to ensure raw materials and resources are available for uninterrupted operations.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., quality control, maintenance) to maintain product standards and equipment functionality.
• Quality Control & Assurance:
• Ensure that all products meet the required quality standards before dispatch.
• Implement quality control procedures and continuously monitor their effectiveness.
• Work closely with the quality department to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations within the plant.
• Conduct safety audits, training sessions, and drills to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and company policies.
• Equipment & Maintenance Oversight:
• Oversee the maintenance schedule of machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Report any equipment issues to the maintenance team and ensure timely repairs.
• Keep records of machine performance and suggest improvements where necessary.
• Reporting & Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of production output, workforce performance, and material usage.
• Report daily, weekly, and monthly production summaries to the Plant Head or management.
• Identify areas for improvement and present suggestions to management.
Qualifications:
• Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering (or related field).
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in a supervisory role within a fabrication or manufacturing plant.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and equipment.
• Problem-solving abilities with a focus on process improvement.
• Proficiency in production planning and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in a fabrication environment.
