Job Description


Opening for Plant HR Manager for a reputed MNC involved in the manufacturing and Marketing of Structural Components for Apparel, Foot wear, Automotive, Fiber Optics domain.

  • To support and deliver HR, ER and Admin functions for the entire plant. The Role holder will be a key enabler of Culture change, Ethics Champion and required to drive the people function in a most modern and progressive manner.
  • Payroll Partnering for Employees, Team Leaders & Analysts and Contract workers
  • Training and Development activities for the plant \xe2\x80\x93 This will include annual training need identification exercise, arriving at training plan and delivering the training plan.
  • HR Operations and transactions related to the Plant
  • Legal / Statutory compliances \xe2\x80\x93 Tracking all applicable legal compliances and ensuring timely compliance. Lead Social Audits and Customer Handles successfully.
  • Manpower planning, budgeting etc
  • Union Relations, Collective Bargaining process to arrive at Long term wage agreements, Monthly meetings, grievance handling etc
  • Liaison -Dealing with external stakeholders like Govt. Authorities, external unions leaders.
  • Plant Discipline and disciplinary issues like dealing with chronic absenteeism, misconducts
  • Coordination of Employee Welfare Activities covering canteen, Cr\xc3\xa8che facilities, OHC, Uniforms etc.
  • Coordination of Health and Safety initiatives at the Plant
  • Dealing with the few Legal cases and Coordination with Advocates.
  • Contract Labour Management \xe2\x80\x93 Contract order preparation, attendance verification, monthly bill passing and salary disbursement
  • Security Management \xe2\x80\x93 Daily verification of gate report, records verification, abnormalities & disciplinary actions based on security frisking.
  • Coordination of HO HR Initiatives around recruitment, performance management, engagement initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
  • Full time post graduates \xe2\x80\x93 MSW / MBA HR with 12-15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in large and good manufacturing organizations like Textile Companies/Engineering/FMCG companies. HR/PM/IR qualification mandatory.
  • Should have good experience handling HR operations, Employee relations and overall general administration related to the plant.
  • Should have good exposure in Contract Labour Management, LTS, Handling Trade unions
  • Handling Payroll for the plant and ensuring smooth pay distribution
  • Should be well versed with disciplinary proceedings
  • Should have good experience in Legal & Statutory compliance to be adhered periodically.
  • Should have experience dealing with Legal Counsel on various legal cases.
  • Should know to READ, SPEAK AND WRITE - Tamil
  • Should have excellent communication skills
  • Should poses good knowledge of Labour Laws and Compliances.
