The Forging shop Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. They develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. Candidate with strong experience in a Forging Shop or Forging plant ( Drop, Hammer, ) backed up with experience in Planning and Production of a forging shop. Forging experience with different parts and materials are preferred. Responsibilities
Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers\xe2\x80\x99 expectations
Proven work experience as a Plant Manager
Proven managerial experience
Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
Address employees\xe2\x80\x99 issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements
Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
Managing the performance of the team while ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations
Controlling expenditure and managing capital requirements within a set budgets
Preparing production and performance reports for senior management
Building effective professional working relationships with all stakeholders, including suppliers and customers
Developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance program for the plant
Maintaining inventory levels and controlling the flow of product
Requirements and skills
Masters degree in Business Management or related field
Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
Familiarity with industry-standard, the Latest equipment & technology with technical expertise
Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
Computer & Tech savvy.
Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
Provide Feasibility, Cycle time of new RFQ\'s
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written for constant interaction with all departments and employee levels as well as customers
Ability to lead, manage and motivate employees in a production environment
Ability to lead consolidation of multiple locations into a single operation. Critical change management skills will be required.
Must have the analytical ability to research problem areas and special requests.
Forging with machining Experience will be an added advantage
