Job Description

Job Role:


The incumbent will be responsible for organizing, directing, and coordinating all activities related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and talent objectives and fully implementing the manufacturing strategies that support the annual plant objectives.





Key Responsibilities:


• Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills.
• Formulate business plans for the above and monitor the progress
• Short term goal setting for the functioning of each department to achieve the overall business goals
• Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the Manufacturing function to ensure that all projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards.
• Build teamwork for smooth functioning between departments and review performance regularly
• Maintain a healthy and safe environment for employees and the community at large
• Create a culture of shared resources.
• Monitor statutory compliance
• Implement new initiatives
• Dealing with the public and the government

Desired Candidate profile:


Industry Experience


Should have worked in any continuous process Industry having a strong orientation towards product quality.


Other traits:


• Provide leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions
• Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements
• Business oriented approach
• Strong believer in adherence to quality & safety.
• Sensitive to environment & social issues.
• Good administrative and people management skills
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance

Education: Engineering Background(Mechanical/Chemical); MBA from a good college would be an added advantage
