JOB DESCRIPTION Plant Head, ATL Primary Metals Basic Details Primary Role type (Technical, Executive or Managerial) =Technical Job Grade =AC-L2C Function =Production - ATL Primary Metals Business Unit =Aerospace Location =Lucknow Reporting to (grade and Job Title) =CEO, Aerospace Castings & Materials Roles & Responsibilities As the Plant Head at ATL in the Primary Metals function, the individual will oversee the entire manufacturing operation related to aerospace casting. This pivotal role requires strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a relentless commitment to quality and safety. The Plant Head will be responsible for driving production efficiency, optimizing processes, and ensuring the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve production targets and operational objectives.

  • Provide leadership and direction to all aspects of manufacturing operations, including casting, melting, machining, and finishing processes.

  • Efficiently manage resources including manpower, equipment, and materials to meet production schedules and budgetary constraints.

  • Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall plant performance.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.

  • Optimize resource utilization to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.

  • Maintain Quality Management System ISO 9001, AS 9100D and their related requirements respectively and collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and address product quality issues.

  • Following up and tracking the New Development Projects and planning to execute as per the schedule.

  • Provide effective leadership to a diverse team of production, maintenance, and quality control professionals.

  • Provide Feedback and participate in Cross functional Team meeting to review new orders and plan for execution.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.

  • Implement and promote a safety-first culture throughout the plant.

  • Review Safety, EHS condition and Accident status in the plant.

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.

  • Encourage and support the team for Kaizen and focus on 5S & Lean Management

  • Review and give feedback for the Machining and other Outsourced Items.

  • Analyze and review the Feasibility Report.

  • Suggest and implement the facility upgradation according to the new projects vis-\xc3\xa0-vis plan for the new equipment and coordinate with Project Team.

  • Participate in the weekly NCR meeting, analyze, and review the data.

  • Review of Pattern readiness with respect to planned dispatches

  • Develop and manage the plant budget, controlling costs and expenditures.

  • Monitor financial performance against budgetary targets.

  • In charge of approving the Procurement Request for Manpower and Capex Requirement

  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure a stable and cost-effective supply chain.

  • Evaluate and manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers.

  • Explore and implement advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance plant capabilities.

  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies to address and resolve compliance issues.

  • Generate regular MIS reports on plant performance, including production metrics, quality, and safety statistics.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to plant operations.
Desired Candidate Profile Education and Certifications:
  • B. Tech/ M. Tech in Mechanical/Production/Metallurgy Engineering or related field required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum 20 to 25 years of relevant experience in manufacturing operations management, preferably in aerospace/automobile or metal casting industry.
  • Operations Head experience will be highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization\'s ERP system.
Technical / Functional Expertise & other competencies:
  • Strong understanding of aero alloy casting processes and related technologies.

  • Excellent strategic planning and execution skills.

  • Knowledge of Overall Titanium Casting Process

  • Good understanding of Techno commercial aspects

  • Sound Knowledge and understanding of the Machining and Vendor Management

  • Operation Management and Process
