Job profile Material Planning & Procurement executiveJob description:Material planning and procurement for an organization which involve in manufacturing of medical
devices.Key activities: Material planning based on the manufacturing forecast.
Material procurement from local source or from international source
(Get quotations, release PO, get the materials on time, get inspection reports, make
payment etc.)
Co ordinating with EMS organization to supply materials.
Co- ordinating with EMS organization to get PCBs with assembled parts.
Vendor management: Periodic Vendor visit, Vendor rating and quality checks
Storing the materials and issuing the components to manufacturing department
Cost reduction activities by selecting alternate vendors or parts.
Mechanical Tools, mould maintenance with vendors
Interact with Finance team to make vendor payments.
Inventory management.Skill sets: Knowledge on local and international purchase
Connect with electronic and mechanical components manufacturers and suppliers.
Skill to identify best manufacturer or supplier.
Price negotiation skill
Knowledge on Electronics and Mechanical parts specifications
Knowledge on Foreign remittance, connect with Freight forwarders, Material clearance from
customs, while getting materials from abroad
Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in EMS organizations or in any manufacturing companies as
Purchase executive
Qualification - Graduation with specialization in procurement activities
