Responsibilities:
• Project Planning and Scheduling:
• Develop comprehensive project plans and detailed schedules using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Define project scope, deliverables, milestones, and timelines in collaboration with project teams.
• Coordination and Communication:
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
• Facilitate regular planning meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Resource Management:
• Identify and allocate necessary resources (labor, materials, equipment) to meet project requirements.
• Monitor resource utilization and adjust plans to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
• Track and report on project progress, comparing actual performance with the planned schedule.
• Identify any deviations from the plan and propose corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Prepare regular progress reports for senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks that could impact project schedules and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and update risk management plans as necessary.
• Budgeting and Cost Control:
• Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets, including cost estimation and forecasting.
• Monitor project costs and implement measures to control expenditures and prevent cost overruns.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that all planning activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Implement quality control processes to maintain the accuracy and reliability of project plans and schedules.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead and mentor a team of planners and schedulers, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project schedules, plans, and related documents.
• Ensure that all project documentation is properly filed and easily accessible for reference.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
