The Planning Engineer in an interior fit-out company specializing in corporate offices is responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring project schedules using tools like Microsoft Project (MSP) . The role involves coordinating with project teams, ensuring timely delivery, and optimizing resources while adhering to quality standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

• Project Scheduling and Planning :
• Develop detailed project schedules using MSP, outlining all activities, timelines, and milestones.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect changes or delays.
• Coordination and Communication :
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and contractors to align planning activities with project goals.
• Communicate schedule updates and potential risks to stakeholders.
• Resource Management :
• Plan and allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient project execution.
• Identify resource constraints and propose solutions to address them.
• Progress Tracking and Reporting :
• Track project progress against the baseline schedule and prepare status reports.
• Analyze delays and propose recovery plans to meet deadlines.
• Risk Analysis and Mitigation :
• Identify potential risks affecting project timelines and develop mitigation strategies.
• Adjust plans proactively to minimize impact on project delivery.
• Knowledge of Corporate Office Fit-Outs :
• Understand the specific requirements and standards of commercial office interiors.
• Ensure schedules account for procurement, installation, and finishing phases typical to corporate office projects.
• Documentation and Compliance :
• Maintain accurate records of schedules, updates, and correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and client specifications.
• Process Improvement :
• Continuously improve planning processes and workflows to enhance efficiency.
• Leverage MSP features to optimize project tracking and reporting.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Education :

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Experience :
• 3-5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the interior fit-out industry, with a focus on corporate or commercial office projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project (MSP) is mandatory.
• Skills :
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out processes, materials, and standards.
• Proficiency in MSP and other planning tools (e.g., Primavera, Excel).
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with project cost control and budgeting is a plus.
