We are seeking an experienced Coordinator for our Rolling Mill operations, responsible for managing the planning and compilation of customer orders, ensuring alignment with production schedules.
The ideal candidate will possess 7-8 years of experience in the planning segment of rolling mills and will provide detailed reports on rolling plans and actual outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Management & Planning:
Compile and analyze customer orders, ensuring all requirements are captured accurately.
Develop comprehensive rolling plans in collaboration with production teams to meet customer demands.
Coordinate with sales, production, and dispatch departments to align production schedules with order priorities.
Rolling Plan Development:
Create detailed rolling schedules, considering resource availability, production capacity, and customer deadlines.
Monitor progress against planned schedules, ensuring timely communication of any deviations or delays.
Result Compilation & Reporting:
Collect and compile data on actual rolling output, comparing it against planned figures.Prepare and present detailed reports on production performance, including variance analysis and recommendations for improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration:Act as a liaison between the planning, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure efficient communication.
Address any production bottlenecks or delays in consultation with relevant teams.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas of improvement in the planning and execution processes.Recommend and implement best practices to enhance production efficiency and reduce lead times.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: 7-8 years of relevant experience in the planning segment of a rolling mill.
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Technical Skills: Proficiency in rolling mill planning software and ERP systems.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Familiarity with steel production processes and rolling mill operations.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong coordination and collaboration abilities.
Problem-solving Skills:Ability to identify potential production issues and proactively suggest solutions.
