Your JobKES ET&S group is looking for a Planning and scheduling Assistant Manager to join the Global Project Planning Office (PPO). To meet the needs of our customers, we need to have visibility of our operational capacity and we need to plan for upcoming work early in the sales process. This highly critical role will be responsible for monitoring our India design and engineering team\'s capacity to ensure we optimize our throughput. This will result in an improved OTP, faster responses to changing market dynamics, and increased long-term ET&S profitability.Our TeamThis position will be based in our Mumbai office and will take ownership of the development and long-term success of the Project Planning Office capability within the India region.What You Will Do

  • E nsure that project planning and scheduling strategies set by the Project Planning Offices are consistently met and/or improved in conjunction with applicable resource and task managers
  • Identify when we should challenge prioritization of projects within the portfolio and analyze results of scenarios
  • Understand how project managers will be expected to manage projects based on buffer consumption
  • Identify if a resource is behind schedule (and how to recover)
  • Lead collaborative strategic efforts between PPO and key internal customers i.e. Sales, E&D, PM, Manufacturing)
  • Become a Concerto/Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) Subject Matter Expert
  • U nderstand how Concerto prioritizes tasks; how projects are modeled, scheduled, compressed and how various users will be required to make updates
  • Provide user support for all questions - error messages, approach for addressing specific circumstances during execution, analyzing Concerto information
  • Provide training and schedule follow up as required to ensure all users understand how to use the system (Task Manager, Resource Manager, Full Kit Manager, Project Manager)
  • Maintain the Engineering and Design Resource File to reflect accurate capacity
  • Ensure Concerto is routinely updated to reflect accurate capacity
  • Educate resource managers on Load to Capacity charts
  • Understand what changes may be needed in the Global Resource File for turnaround seasons and educate resource managers on how we can make temporary adjustments
  • Facilitate meetings to solve issues with stalled projects
  • Facilitate Project Status Review meetings with Project Management team and advise on overall portfolio health
  • Facilitate Buffer Recovery discussions
  • Facilitate escalation to Senior Leadership
  • Foster continuous pursuance and improvement of our Demand Driven Operating Model
  • Promote the mental model shift required to execute projects in a different way than we have before
  • Monitor performance goals and objectives. Work with resource and task managers to ensure that targets are achieved
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, recommend solutions, and lead implementation of key initiatives
  • Work with Manufacturing Master Scheduler to ensure smooth transition of projects from Engineering through Manufacturing
  • Understand how DBR will play a role within Concerto and how we utilize that to establish schedules
  • Help develop business process for alignment between DDOM (Concerto, DBR, R+) and ERP system
  • Ensure that Templates are consistently improved and updated in conjunction with applicable task managers
  • Schedule follow ups with all groups to understand what issues they face and what improvements may be needed, as it relates to the templates
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Experience in Planning & Scheduling
  • Good understanding of design through manufacturing
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, economics, engineering, or related degree
  • Solution-oriented assertive leader with ability to influence without authority
