Job Summary:



The Placement Officer is responsible for connecting students and recent graduates with employment opportunities and internships in alignment with their academic and career goals. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with employers, coordinating job fairs and career events, and providing career counseling to students. The Placement Officer plays a critical role in enhancing the employability of students and ensuring successful job placements.

Key Responsibilities:



Employer Engagement:

Identify and establish partnerships with employers, organizations, and industry contacts to facilitate job placements.
Develop and maintain a database of potential employers for student placements.
Promote the institution's graduates to employers and negotiate partnership agreements.

Student Counseling:

Provide one-on-one career counseling to students, assisting them in setting career goals and developing job search strategies.
Conduct workshops and seminars on resume writing, interview skills, and job search techniques.
Assist students in preparing for interviews and networking opportunities.

Job Placement:

Match students with suitable job openings and internship opportunities.
Monitor and track the progress of student job placements and maintain records of successful placements.
Follow up with students and employers to gather feedback on placement experiences.

Career Events:

Organize and coordinate job fairs, career expos, and other career-related events.
Collaborate with academic departments to ensure students are well-prepared for career events.
Promote career events to students and employers.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of job postings, employer contacts, and student placements.
Generate reports on placement statistics and outcomes for management and accreditation purposes.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred). Proven experience in career services, recruitment, or a related field. Strong networking and relationship-building skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of career counseling and job search techniques. Proficiency in using job search databases and career counseling tools. Highly organized with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and employers.
