Job Summary

:

SLBS Marklance is looking for a motivated and results-driven

Placement Officer

to manage and enhance the placement activities for our Logistics Course participants. The Placement Officer will work closely with students, faculty, and industry partners to ensure a high placement rate for graduates, provide career counseling, and develop professional relationships with logistics and supply chain companies.

Key Responsibilities

:

Placement Activities

: Coordinate and facilitate the placement process for students completing the Logistics Course. Establish and maintain relationships with leading logistics, transportation, and supply chain companies. Organize and manage placement drives, interviews, and campus recruitment activities. Ensure timely placement of eligible students by engaging with industry partners and job portals. Track and report placement progress and success rates for students.

Career Counseling and Support

: Provide career guidance, counseling, and resume-building assistance to students. Conduct mock interviews and help students prepare for interviews with corporate recruiters. Assist students in identifying career opportunities aligned with their skills and aspirations.

Industry Collaboration

: Develop partnerships with industry leaders to create internship and job opportunities for students. Organize guest lectures, webinars, and workshops to expose students to industry trends and requirements. Gather industry feedback on curriculum relevance and suggest improvements to the training program.

Networking and Relationship Management

: Build and manage a network of alumni, industry professionals, and employers in the logistics sector. Create and maintain a database of companies for potential hiring needs. Cultivate long-term relationships with corporate clients to ensure continued placement opportunities.

Documentation and Reporting

: Maintain records of placements, student profiles, employer feedback, and placement statistics. Prepare reports for the management team detailing placement trends, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications

:

Education

: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Experience

: Minimum of 6 Months of experience in placement services, career counseling, or recruitment in the logistics, supply chain, or education sectors. Familiarity with the logistics industry and its job roles. Proven track record of successful placements and building industry relationships.

Skills

:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent networking abilities and relationship-building skills. Knowledge of career development, recruitment processes, and placement trends. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work with a diverse group of students and industry professionals. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools for data tracking and reporting.
