Job Title: Placement Officer - Skill Development

Job Summary:
The Placement Officer is responsible for facilitating job placements for candidates who have undergone skill development training. This role involves working closely with training institutions, industry partners, and students to ensure successful job placements and career guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Industry Engagement:
• Establish and maintain relationships with various industries and employers to promote the skill development programs.
• Identify potential job openings and work with employers to create job placement opportunities for candidates.
• Placement Coordination:
• Organize campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and placement events to connect students with potential employers.
• Coordinate interviews between students and employers, providing necessary support and feedback throughout the process.
• Candidate Preparation:
• Assist candidates in preparing resumes, cover letters, and other application materials.
• Conduct mock interviews and provide guidance on interview techniques and job search strategies.
• Skill Development Support:
• Collaborate with training teams to understand the skills and competencies developed through the training programs.
• Identify skill gaps and suggest enhancements to training programs based on industry needs.
• Monitoring and Reporting:
• Track placement statistics and analyze trends to improve placement strategies.
• Prepare reports on placement activities, success rates, and employer feedback for management.
• Career Counseling:
• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions for candidates regarding career options and job search techniques.
• Conduct workshops and seminars on employability skills and career development topics.
• Networking:
• Develop a network of industry contacts to promote the skill development initiatives and create placement opportunities.
• Engage with alumni to support current candidates and foster community connections.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and employment patterns to provide relevant advice to candidates.
• Gather feedback from employers and candidates to continuously improve placement processes.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in placement services, recruitment, or skill development programs.
• Experience in working with educational institutions and industry partners is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, employers, and industry partners.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage placement activities and events efficiently.
• Knowledge of job market trends, employer expectations, and skill requirements across various industries.
• Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and placement management software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve placement targets.
Working Conditions:
• Ability to travel for industry visits, employer meetings, and recruitment events as required.
• Flexibility in working hours to accommodate placement events and interviews.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
